Meetings
Book
Groups
Bloomsday Book Club
~ fourth Thursdays, 7pm ~
A small but stalwart group of readers is tackling the great Ulysses by James Joyce.  Many have named this book the greatest piece of literature in English written in the 20th Century.  It's a lengthy tome though, and the group support and literary interpretative guides are helpful.  Want to know what all the fuss is about?  Feel free to join us, newcomers are welcome to this informal group.

Austeniana Club
~ fourth Thursdays, 7pm ~
Winter is a good time to read Jane Austen, don't you think?  I hear PBS is featuring quite a marathon of films to get you in the mood.  Jane published six novels, and they're all humdingers, and there two unfinished works are modern spin-offs to enjoy too (like Austenland, Becoming Jane Austen, Darcy's Passions, Mr. Darcy's Diary, and the trilogy Fitzwilliam Darcy, Gentleman).  We'll work in order of Austen's works first, beginning with Sense and Sensibillity in January, followed by Pride and Prejudice, Mansfield Park, Emma, Persuasion and Northanger Abbey.  Interested in talking Austen?  Join us.

Playwriting Workshop with Sarah Morton
Mondays, February 18-April 17, 6:30-9:00pm  (excluding March 24)
In this 8-session intensive,  students will explore the fundamentals of playwriting,  including dramatic structure, story, theatrical language/ dialogue, and character development.  Learn how to turn your ideas on the page into vivid, dynamic, and theatrical writing for the stage.  Discover your own unique voice as a playwright, in a small, supportive workshop setting.  Workshop is geared towards beginning playwrights, but all levels of experience are welcome.  Investment:  $160  Enrollment is limited.

The Cleveland Circle
Wednesday, October 15, 7pm
The Cleveland Circle is a local book club that's been meeting for years.  The members come and go, and grow and grow.  Currently at about 35 active members, this special meeting will take a political turn to discuss Barack Obama's Dreams from my Father.  Come join the debate and hear what others in your neighborhood think.

Want to start a book club or have your book club meet at Loganberry? Ask Harriett.
