In case there was every any doubt about what is important in Alabama, the following news story form the Decatur Daily should warm your heart. Click on the article below:

Saban joins Tyde in Bama-fan clan: Couple name sons for team, new head coach

What a great story. For those in my family that are totally "out to lunch" on these things, Nick Saban was just hired. Nick Saban has yet to coach a football game. Please check out this choice quote from the article:

That's right, Saban Hardin Witt, who was born Tuesday at about 5 p.m. in Decatur General Hospital, is named after Alabama head football coach Nick Saban. He was two weeks early and weighed 7 pounds and 10 ounces.

So, what if Saban doesn't succeed as Alabama's football coach?

"We'll tell our son he was named after one of the highest paid coaches in college football," the father said.

What if Saban Witt turns into an Auburn fan?

"We'll put him up for adoption," his father, joked. "I'm not worried about that. He was bleeding Crimson before he was born, and I'm going to make sure he continues to bleed Crimson."
Roll Tide!

Hello world,

The Chapman family has found routine. Constant movement. Well, really that is what the kids do. To see a multitude of family photos, please click on this link.

Lots of things are happening in our lives. In the last couple of months I've switched roles and bosses at my company. My 10th year at the bank is about to happen (April 7), but the person that I reported to for all but the final two months will leave the company in late July. Mergers bring opportunity. Mergers also bring sadness because they abruptly remind you that everything is temporary.

Remember to check out my blog at http://www.logan.com/chris for some strange posts and plenty of links to pictures.

wolfmother - love train

What's got me on this music kick? I'm excited about getting to see Wolfmother on April 22 here in the 'ham. These guys absolutely had the best album in 2006. Pure power. I haven't been this happy about a group since Kings of Leon. Before that, maybe the Breeders or Smashing Pumpkins. Yeah, its been that long. Obviously, I'm not alone. This song helps sell iPods for Apple, kind of like Jet did for one of Apple's ealier models.

Silversun Pickups - Well Thought Out Twinkles

This 'new' SoCal band from Orange County sounds really good. I was excited about catching their Birmingham show in late March. Unfortunately for me, they've really gotten popular and and decided to tour Europe instead. This is my early candidate for 2007's 'album of the year' artist. There are definite weaknesses on the album. But, still, there are some outstanding songs... like the one attached.
